Organised by Sandie Mourão and Catarina Castro
9 February 2023
The 6th Advanced Research Seminar: Researching multilingualism and education for a global citizenship brings keynote speakers with expertise in these two fields, Mónica Lourenço (University of Aveiro, Portugal) opened the day with a talk entitled ‘Educating teachers for global citizenship in Portugal: from envisioning to enacting’, and Nayr Ibrahim (Nord University, Norway) closed the day with her research into multilingualism and a talk on, ‘DLC artefacts in teacher education: engaging teachers with multilingualism’. The aim of this seminar was also to provide a space for PhD students to present their work in progress and so we also have seven presentations from doctoral students discussing their research proposals or snapshots of their results and discussion around analysis.
